Who we are.
The Community of the Cross was founded in 1971 in an effort to create a place where Christians of many denominations could come together to share more fully in a life dedicated to Jesus. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available today and that Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with each of us. Our community is based on the principles of the first century church, where people's lives were intertwined with each other in a community setting and not just once a week in a church. We meet once a week, on Fridays at 8:00 pm at our chapel on Madison Ave. We are not a church. Those who attend meetings attend their own church.
